Madhya Pradesh
Heart of India's wild
About Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh is the tiger state of India — Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Pench, and Satpura together form one of the world's great wildlife corridors. Bandhavgarh has the highest density of tigers in any national park on earth. A morning jeep safari here, with a naturalist who knows every individual animal by name, is an experience that rivals any wildlife destination in the world.
But Madhya Pradesh is far more than its jungles. The temples of Khajuraho are among the finest examples of medieval Indian sculpture — a UNESCO World Heritage Site that rewards hours of contemplative exploration. The fort of Gwalior, rising 100 metres above the plains, is one of India's most impressive medieval fortifications. The riverside town of Orchha, with its cenotaphs and palaces, feels like a place that time forgot.
Bootstrap Journeys designs MP itineraries that combine wildlife with heritage — morning safaris followed by afternoon temple visits, evenings in heritage hotels, and meals that showcase the robust flavours of Madhya Pradesh's tribal and royal cuisines.
